The Importance of Using Acoustic Enclosures in Factories

Noise pollution is one of the leading issues in an industrial work environment. It is important to reduce the noises made by big and heavy machinery in different industrial sectors in order to help maintain an acceptable indoor level of noise at work, as well as reducing the exterior noise of the plant. These chambers are individually made to reduce noise, and have additional functions such as vibration isolation. Heavy materials such as sheet metal, timber, plasterboard can be used as acoustic enclosures as they absorb a large amount of sound.

Acoustic barriers are designed to protect commercial and residential estates from excessive noise of an industrial factory. There barriers are beneficial for short indoor applications and long outdoor projects to reduce noise in the surrounding areas and can significantly reduce direct component noise levels and high frequency noises that can cause discomfort to people nearby.

Benefits of using acoustic enclosures:

Noise can affect conditions of human health, such as hearing and cardiovascular problems, which is why it is important to reduce noise levels in a work environment at any opportunity possible. Depending on their design, there enclosures can significantly reduce noise levels often between 15 to 50 Db (A) and help reduce the indoor noise levels in a factory, to comply with the Noise at Work Regulations.
